This guide will show you how to view passwords stored on iPhone, iPad or any iOS device using your keychain on Mac OSX

iPhone will not allow you to see saved WIFI passwords from the device, however using OSX on any Mac device you can use iCloud to reveal your saved wifi passwords. You can do this if you use Apple’s Keychain to store passwords, as long as both Mac and iPhone or iPad is linked to the same iCloud account.¬†Keychain shares passwords between all your devices that your logged into with your iCloud account.

Simply follow these steps to see your WIFI passwords.

Step 1. Open “Settings” on iPhone and then open iCloud, check if Keychain is on and if not tap on Keychain and swipe to switch on.

Step 2. Go back to “Settings” and switch on “Personal Hotpot”.

Step 3. Open your Mac and connect it to iPhone’s Personal Hotpot.

Step 4. Hold the Command key + Space key to open Searchlight on your Mac. Type in “Keychain Access” in the search box and press enter.

Step 5. Search or scroll to the network you want and then double click. This will open another set of options to which you click the checkbox to view password.

Step 6. If you also set a password on your Mac, there will be a pop-out windows asking you to enter the password for the admin account, type the password and click “Allow”. Now the Wi-Fi password should appear in the text box next to Show Password.
